KiwiSpan Wairarapa Win the KiwiSpan Business Excellence Award 2023 

At KiwiSpan, we like to celebrate hard work. Business excellence in a business operation mainly refers to the pursuit of exceptional performance, efficiency, and effectiveness in all aspects of their business. It involves a relentless commitment to continuous improvement and the consistent delivery of high-quality shed solutions. 

The 2023 Business Excellence Award is given to KiwiSpan Wairarapa. This region has achieved massive things since they acquired their business in October 2020. Rowan Thornton and Tonya Harrison lead a close-knit team who work extremely hard to deliver projects to a high standard time and time again. 

Before taking over ownership, Rowan worked at a local engineering firm for many years and then later established his own construction company. It was there he gained in-depth knowledge of steel shed construction and a solid reputation for high-quality service. Combined with his wife Tonya’s strong administrative and marketing skills, they’re a force to be reckoned with in the network.  

Tonya comments on this year’s win, saying “We are honoured to be presented, alongside KiwiSpan Taranaki, with the Business Excellence award for 2023 in our third year of owning KiwiSpan Wairarapa. 

“We have such a great team surrounding and supporting us, from our local KiwiSpan team and the wider KiwiSpan network. We are truly proud!” 

She also spoke on what business excellence means to their team, “Business excellence to us is creating and surrounding ourselves with a team that is truly proud of the KiwiSpan brand, with a high level of customer service and producing quality buildings at our focus.”
